-Take the exit 'Balmaseda' on the A8.
-Continue along for Zalla and Balmaseda.
-Once there take the CL -629 road to reach the valley.
From Vitoria:
-Head for Amurrio, Arceniega and from there proceed towards Villasana.
From Burgos:
-Take the CL-629 road in Sotopalacios.
-Head down along La Mazorra and continue through Villarcayo, Bercedo, from which you enter the valley enjoying the landscape of beechwoods in Irus.
