Located in the city center, a wide variety of shops are within walking distance. A stay of a few days in Hotel Ripoll can bring you in contact with superb views and walking tracks discovering the Natural Park Montseny (visitors centre 30 minutes) or taking a look at less known villages of the Costa Brava like Tossa de Mar (Ava Gardner) or Palamós (Truman Capote). Of course the main atractions of the Girona area can be added to the daily planning : the Dalí Museum in Figueres , the Jewish Quarter in Girona , the Natural Park of la Garrotxa or the lake of Banyoles are all reachable in less than one hour. The late dinner will introduce you to the specialities of Chef Cook Pep Badia, who learned the kitchen secrets from his mother Marta before his graduation from the Hotel Schools of Madrid and Girona, where he often comes back as invited teacher.
