
The founder of the restaurant, Josep Mercader, is an emblematic figure in Catalan gastronomy, who forged a fertile legacy in his time and left behind a school truly worth following. What is now called the product line is still being produced, offering diverse applications and products of meats and seafood from the Empordà region. The wine tradition in Empordà originates from immemorial times. Nowadays, traditional and modern wine cellars are giving the wine of Empordà a new impulse. Villages such as Capmany, Perelada, Palau and Espolla have roots from centenary vines which give rise to the characteristic wine of this region.
