
The town has many historical attractions, including the impressive Temple Veracruz, which combines a mixture of architectural styles.
The newly constructed Aparthotel Arenteiro will open its doors in December 2006, offering 52 spacious and comfortable apartments.
The hotel has a cafeteria, restaurant. Opened in 1972, the hotel was originally funded by the Caixa Ourense bank (now Caixanova) to promote tourism in the area.
In 2000, the hotel was renovated into an apart-hotel, though preserved the building's original facade.
You can get to O Carballiño by both train and bus. Once in town head towards the Alameda and you will find the hotel.
From Ourense by car:
- Follow the N120 motorway which continues onto the N541 which leads to O Carballiño.
From Vigo Airport and the A9 by car:
- Follow the N550 south. - Turn left onto the A52 for Ourense. - Turn left onto the N541, following signs for O Carballino.
